Understanding Our Pricing
We understand that investing in a new or upgraded heating system can be a significant financial decision. You might be worried about high upfront costs, unpredictable energy bills, and the risk of making expensive mistakes. OptiHeatX is designed to address these concerns head-on, providing a transparent, value-based pricing model that puts you in control and delivers long-term savings.
It’s important to view the costs associated with the OptiHeatX Guide, Project, and Automation Connection Fee not just as expenses, but as investments in the long-term efficiency, comfort, resilience, and value of your heating system and property. Our pricing is designed so that the combined cost of these three products is only 30%-40% of the cost of electric energy to cover your property’s annual heat losses. This is for a property of 100 sq.m. and a system of basic complexity. For a more complex system, this percentage will grow, but much slower than linear growth, while for a larger property, this percentage will decrease significantly.
And remember, this is just the direct cost comparison. The true value of OptiHeatX is even greater. The OptiHeatX is a game changer. It puts you, the property owner, in the driver’s seat, in control of the entire process. You’ll have the all the essential knowledge, detailed plans and specifications needed to confidently purchase optimal equipment and materials at optimal prices. You can then use project documentation to solicit bids from installers, ensuring you’re comparing apples to apples and getting the best possible value. Furthermore, with the OptiHeatX Automation System, many acceptance tests and routine maintenance procedures are automated, saving you time and money, along with ongoing optimization, troubleshooting assistance, and clear guidance for manual interventions when needed. Thus, you’ll also save significantly by avoiding common design and installation pitfalls and marketing traps (learn more in our Free Guide’s Web of Marketing Traps), optimizing your project staging, making informed component selections, streamlining procurement, and minimizing your long-term heating and maintenance costs.* You get the optimal and predictable expenses at all the stages of your optimal heating system creation and operation.
Now, let’s break down how our pricing works:
- Base Units (BU): We start with prices in Base Units (BU). Think of one BU as roughly equal to the cost of 1 kWh of heating energy with VAT in our reference country, Austria.
- Your Location Matters: We adjust the BU price based on the average electricity price in your country. This ensures the pricing reflects the potential energy savings you can achieve in your region. We will use your actual prices in case you provide us your electricity bills.
- Climate Matters: We use a “Cold Ratio” to account for differences in climate. A colder climate means you’ll need more heating, so the price is adjusted accordingly.
- System Complexity Matters: For the Project and Automation products, the price scales with the complexity of your heating system (number of components, zones, etc.). This is measured in “System Complexity Units” (SCU). SCU Ratio is not linear but a square root of SCU. For example, tripling system complexity (SCU=3) leads to 1.73 times price increase (SCU Ratio = 3^(1/2)), but not 3 times. This makes complex systems extremely affordable!
- Property Size Matters: Project and Automation prices are also calculated per 100 sq.m. of your property (Property Area Unit or PAU). PAU Ratio is not linear but a degree 2/3 of PAU. For example, the heated area of 400 sq.m. (PAU=4) leads to 2.52 times price increase (PAU Ratio = 4^(2/3)), but not 4 times. This makes heating large property much more affordable!
- Staged pricing: For Project and Automation products, the price is per each stage of development, not for entire system at once.
(Gamma.app prompt: A simple diagram illustrating these factors: BU, location/country, cold ratio, system complexity, property size.)
Here’s a quick summary table:
Factor | Description | Impact on Price |
---|---|---|
Base Unit (BU) | A base price unit, roughly equivalent to 1 kWh of heating energy in Austria. | Base price |
Cold Ratio | A factor that normalizes heating needs across different climates (Austria = 1). | Multiplier: Adjusts BU |
Property Area Unit (PAU) | Per 100 sq.m. of your property. | Multiplier (PAU^(2/3)): Adjusts BU |
System Complexity Unit (SCU) | A measure of the complexity of your heating system (number of components, zones, etc.). | Multiplier (SCU^(1/2)): Adjusts BU |
Electricity Price | The average electricity price in your country (high-tariff price in the main heating price zone). | Converts BU (kWh) into money |
Staged Development | You only pay for the complexity/scale of your system at each stage of development. | Per stage |
Example 1: Small property, Simple System
For a small house (90 sq.m.) in Serbia (Cold Ratio = 0.82) with a simple heating system (SCU = 1, SCU Ratio = 1^(1/2) = 1).
- Your Property Area: 0.9 PAU. PAU Ratio = 0.9^(2/3) = 0.93
- Guide Calculation: 1290 BU * 0.82 (Cold Ratio) = 1054 BU
- Road Map Calculation (Optional): 690 BU * 0.82 (Cold Ratio) = 564 BU
- Project Calculation: 990 BU * 0.82 (Cold Ratio) * 1 (SCU Ratio) * 0.93 (PAU Ratio) = 754 BU
- Automation Connection Fee (Base - Assuming Maximum Connection Fee): 990 BU * 0.82 (Cold Ratio) * 1 (SCU Ratio) * 0.93 (PAU Ratio) = 754 BU
- Automation Monthly Fee (Base - Assuming Maximum Connection Fee): 4.9 BU * 0.82 (Cold Ratio) * 1 (SCU Ratio) * 0.93 (PAU Ratio) = 3.7 BU
- Your Price: The price for your Guide, Project and Maximum Connection Fee would be 2562 BU which is the average price of 2562 kWh in your country. In Serbia at average electricity price 0.159 EUR/kWh this equals to 407 EUR, while automation Monthly Fee is 0.6 EUR (this is with the maximum connection fee; you could choose a lower connection fee and a higher subscription fee). The additional price of Road Map is 90 EUR.
Example 2: Large property, Complex System
Now imagine a 3 times bigger house (270 sq.m.) in a colder climate of Stockholm (Cold Ratio = 1.41) with hybrid system of maximum complexity (SCU = 3, SCU Ratio = 3^(1/2) = 1.73).
- Your Property Area: 270 sq.m. / 100 sq.m. = 2.7 PAU. PAU Ratio = 2.7^(2/3) = 1.94
- Guide Calculation: 1290 BU * 1.41 (Cold Ratio) = 1825 BU
- Road Map Calculation (Optional): 690 BU * 1.41 (Cold Ratio) = 976 BU
- Project Calculation: 990 BU * 1.41 (Cold Ratio) * 1.73 (SCU Ratio) * 1.94 (PAU Ratio) = 4703 BU
- Automation Connection Fee (Base - Assuming Minimum Connection Fee): 249 BU * 1.41 (Cold Ratio) * 1.73 (SCU Ratio) * 1.94 (PAU Ratio) = 1183 BU
- Automation Monthly Fee (Base - Assuming Minimum Connection Fee): 19.9 BU * 1.41 (Cold Ratio) * 1.73 (SCU Ratio) * 1.94 (PAU Ratio) = 94.5 BU
- Total (for this stage): The price for your Guide, Project and Minimum Connection Fee would be 7710 BU which is the average price of 7710 kWh in your country. In Sweden at average electricity price 0.3 EUR/kWh this equals to 2313 EUR, while automation Monthly Fee is 28.4 EUR (this is with the minimum connection fee; you could choose a higher connection fee and a lower subscription fee). The additional price of Road Map is 293 EUR.
These are simplified examples, and the actual price will depend on your specific situation.

Automation: Automation System
The Automation System pricing consists of a Staged Connection Fee and a yearly Subscription Fee. Both are calculated using Base prices multiplied by System Complexity Ratio, Property Area Ratio and Cold Ratio. You can also choose the proportion between the Connection Fee and the Subscription Fee that best suits your budget.
Connection Fee
The Base Connection Fee ranges from 149 BU to 990 BU / per 1 Cold Unit / per 1 System Complexity Unit / per 1 Property Area Unit. The connection fee to the OptiHeatX Automation platform is staged, reflecting the incremental increases in system complexity as upgrades are made. The initial connection fee is based on your system’s complexity at the time of initial connection, as defined by the digital system scheme from your Project.
Subscription Fee
The Base Subscription Fee ranges from:
4.9 BU to 14.9 BU / per 1 Cold Unit / per 1 System Complexity Unit / per 1 Property Area Unit / per month (paid yearly)
- This range corresponds inversely to your choice of Connection Fee.
- 24/7 expert-level support via AI-powered Telegram chatbot included
Connection Upgrades
Each new Project instance (representing a system upgrade) requires a connection upgrade to the Automation.
DEASM (Design Early Adoption Stimulus Markup)
To encourage users to follow the recommended OptiHeatX approach (Guide -> Road Map -> Project -> Automation) and complete the Design Guide and Project before starting to use the Automation, and to prevent unauthorized use of OptiHeatX’s intellectual property, we’ve implemented a Design Early Adoption Stimulus Markup (DEASM) on the Automation connection fee.
- Full DEASM:
2 * (Guide Price + Project Price)
(calculated in EUR, using the current BU conversion for your location). - Elimination: Purchasing both Guide and Project within one year before connecting to the Automation makes the DEASM equal to zero.
- The one-year period is calculated using a weighted average of the purchase dates of the Guide, Project, and optional Road Map. The weights are the amounts paid for each product (in BU, converted to EUR). If the Road Map is not purchased, its weight is zero.
