How OptiHeatX Works for Professionals: Tools for Your Expertise

OptiHeatX offers specific products designed to enhance your professional services:

  • All Professionals (Installers, Consultants, Architects):
    • Must acquire the Fundamentals (Free) for basic concepts (under the relevant license type below).
  • Installers & Consultants:
    • Must purchase the Guide under a Professional-Tied License (see below). This provides the comprehensive knowledge needed to understand the OptiHeatX approach, advise clients effectively, and perform installations based on client-provided Projects.
  • Architects:
    • Purchase the Guide, and optionally the Road Map and/or the Project customized products under a Project-Offering-Tied License (see below). This allows architects to incorporate OptiHeatX methodologies and tools into a standard architectural service package or project offering they provide repeatedly to clients.

Understanding Professional License Types

OptiHeatX uses distinct license types for professionals, depending on their role and how the products are used in their services:

  • Professional-Tied License (for Installers & Consultants):

    • Applies only to the Guide product purchased by Installers and Consultants.
    • Licensed Per Individual: A Professional-Tied license is granted to a specific named individual within your company or to you as an independent professional. It’s identified uniquely (e.g., by <Business ID>/<Employee Personal ID> or <Personal ID>).
    • One License Per User: If your company employs multiple professionals who will use the OptiHeatX Guide, a separate Professional-Tied license must be purchased for each individual.
    • Company Transferability: If a licensed employee leaves your company, the license can be transferred to another employee. Please contact OptiHeatX support to facilitate this re-registration process.
    • Not for Personal Implementation: Professional-Tied licenses grant the right to use the Guide for providing services to clients. They do not grant the right to implement an OptiHeatX system on your own personal property or one you are developing yourself (see “Acting in Multiple Roles” below).
  • Project-Offering-Tied License (for Architects):

    • Applies to the Fundamentals (Free), Guide, Road Map (optional), and Project (optional) products when acquired by an Architect for integration into a specific, standard architectural service offering.
    • Licensed Per Offering: This license is purchased once for each distinct standard service package or project type you define that incorporates these OptiHeatX products. It allows you to reuse these licensed products whenever delivering that specific offering to different clients.
    • Not Per Individual/Company Transferable: Unlike Professional-Tied, this license is tied to the service offering definition, not the individual architect or easily transferable upon employee departure in the same way. If the offering changes significantly, a new license may be required.
    • Not for Personal Implementation: Similar to Professional-Tied, this license is for providing services, not for personal property implementation.

Critical: Client Purchase of Property-Tied Products

This is essential for both you and your clients to understand:

Client Purchase Obligation: Regardless of the Professional-Tied or Project-Offering-Tied tools you use in your service, your end client (Property Owner or Property Developer) MUST purchase their own Property-Tied versions of the full OptiHeatX product stack (Fundamentals, Guide, optionally Road Map, Project, Automation) directly from OptiHeatX for the specific property being worked on.

Why is this mandatory? Only the official Property-Tied license purchased by the client grants:

  1. The legal right to implement the OptiHeatX design and system on that specific property.
  2. The unique digital system scheme (delivered with the Property-Tied Project) which is absolutely required to connect and operate the OptiHeatX Automation system.
  3. The right for the entire product stack license to transfer automatically to a future owner if the property is sold.

Your use of Professional-Tied or Project-Offering-Tied tools facilitates your design or consulting service, enabling you to leverage OptiHeatX methodologies. It does not replace the client’s need for the official, implementable, and transferable Property-Tied product licenses and the crucial Automation key from OptiHeatX. Failure to ensure your client purchases the necessary Property-Tied Project will prevent the connection and use of the OptiHeatX Automation system.

License Terms for Professionals

By purchasing and using Professional-Tied or Project-Offering-Tied OptiHeatX products, you agree to:

  • Licensed Use: Use products solely for providing professional services (consulting, architectural design, installation guidance/execution based on client’s Property-Tied Project) to clients who have purchased the necessary Property-Tied stack from OptiHeatX. Architects: Use Project-Offering-Tied products only within the scope of the defined service offering.
  • Inform Clients: You must inform your clients of the mandatory requirement for them to purchase the full Property-Tied product stack directly from OptiHeatX for their property.
  • No Resale: You cannot resell any OptiHeatX products.
  • No Implementation without Client License: You cannot implement or install an OptiHeatX system based solely on your Professional-Tied or Project-Offering-Tied licenses; the client must hold the Property-Tied license for that property.
  • Intellectual Property: Respect OptiHeatX’s IP. Do not distribute materials outside the scope of your licensed service provision.
  • Acting in Multiple Roles: An individual may operate as both a Professional and a Property Owner/Developer. Please note that product licenses are role-specific. Professional-Tied or Project-Offering-Tied licenses cannot be used for implementing systems on personal or self-developed properties. A separate, full Property-Tied product stack must be purchased for each specific property being built or renovated for personal use or development purposes.
  • Misrepresentation: Do not represent yourself as an employee or direct partner of OptiHeatX beyond the scope of the Affiliate program.
  • Consequences: Violation may result in revocation of Affiliate status, termination of access, and potential legal action.

Installer vs. Consultant – Avoiding Conflicts of Interest

OptiHeatX recognizes that professionals may wear multiple hats. However, to ensure objectivity and protect the interests of the property owner, we strongly advise against a single individual or company acting as both the Installer and the independent Consultant on the same OptiHeatX project.

  • Installer: Focuses on the physical installation according to the client’s Property-Tied OptiHeatX Project specifications.
  • Consultant: Provides unbiased advice and guidance to the property owner throughout the OptiHeatX process.

This separation helps maintain transparency and avoid potential conflicts where installation choices might be influenced by consulting recommendations, or vice-versa.

Compliance Monitoring

OptiHeatX employs multiple methods to monitor compliance, including the technical requirement of a valid, client-purchased digital system scheme from the Property-Tied Project for Automation system connection.
